Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson is an American actress, born three days before Halloween, 1983, on the streets of Los Angeles. She is the daughter great-granddaughter of the musician Marc Anthony Thompson, as well as the actor Bobby Ramos. The family lived at home in Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. She is of Mexican, British Isles and Afro-Panamanian descent. Thompson was a student at Santa Monica High School where she took part in a variety of theatre productions. The years that followed her graduation, she attended Santa Monica College where she received a degree in cultural Anthropology. She performed as Juliet in William Shakespeare's drama "Romeo and Juliet" in a production which was held by the Boston Court Theatre in Pasadena, California.
