Sutton Foster, an actor as well as a singer and dancer, has appeared in eleven Broadway productions, including the most recent production of Violet. She has also played lead the roles on Broadway in The Drowsy Chaperone and Little Women. The actress's Tony Award winning performances include Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie as well as Young Frankenstein. The first time she appeared on the television screen in Star Search at age 15 She has also been seen as a character in Bunheads, Psych, Johnny and the Sprites, Flight of the Conchords, Sesame Street, Law and Order SVU and Royal Pains. Sutton Foster has toured the United States and internationally as a soloist along with Michael Rafter. She performed songs from "Wish", her first solo disc, and her second album, "An evening With Sutton Foster: live at the Caf Carlyle". Ball State University conferred her with an Honorary PhD in 2011. In addition to being an advisor and professor within the Department of Theatre and Dance She was also conferred the degree from Ball State University. From March to the present, she stars in TVLand's debut series "Younger" developed by Darren Star.
