Washington Butler was born in Puyallup Washington, was always interested in the arts. She was a member of choirs, entered singing competitions and performed in both high school and local theatre. Then she moved from Los Angeles in order to pursue a degree in the University of Southern California and then performed as Belle her princess role for two and a half seasons at Disneyland. She quit college to find an agent to represent her talents, and started auditioning for films and television. Butler appeared as a guest star in the TV program CSI: Miami. The year before, Butler was the role of a regular on Don Stark's web show Luke 1117. She also had a recurring part in the web-based series I love Vampires.Butler was cast as the lead character in the 2010 rape and crime thriller I Spit on Your Grave which was a remake of 1978's popular film with the same title.
